Dimitri J. KORDZAIA nationality (Georgian) was born in Tbilisi in 1958 and graduated from the Curative faculty of Tbilisi State Medical University in 1981.
Marital status: Married, two children
In 1987 – Defended the Candidate’s Dissertation (Ph.D.);
In 1994 – Defended Science Doctor’s Dissertation (D.Sc.).
Academic Appointment and Positions Held:
In 1991-2001 – Appointed as the Senior Scientist at the National center of Surgery (Institute of Clinical and Experimental Surgery);
In 1992-2001 – Elected as the Rector of Classical and Traditional Medicine Aademy;
In 1995-till present - Invited Professor at the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy of Tbilisi State Medical University ;
In 1998—2005 - Head of Department of Medical Science
and Education at Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia;
2005-till present - Director of Alexandre Natishvili Institute of Morphology
